The modern day hair transplant procedure takes hundreds of single follicles (each carrying about 3 hairs) from the permanent area on the back of the head and redistributes them to the balding area on top. The follicles are realigned to copy the original angle and direction, to give you a natural restoration. The hairs then continue to grow for the rest of your life. Because hair loss is usually an ongoing process, the patient can need several procedures over a period of time. We also often use prescribed medication to help minimise future hair loss and the need for several operations.
